Please be advised that a contracted engineering project was rescheduled from August 10, 2025.

For: BRIDGELAND RESIDENTS

Stage 2 of the Drought Contingency Plan (“DCP”) for the Bridgeland community was rescinded on October 10, 2023, with Stage 1 continuing in effect. The target for Stage 1 was a 10% water usage reduction.

Please be advised, Texas Hurricane Season for 2023 will begin on June 1. We encourage residents to plan ahead to be safe in an emergency.

Water Supply from the WHCRWA has been restored. Our water conservation efforts helped the area’s surface water system recover quickly and we appreciate everyone’s support.

Bridgeland MUD Residents:

The West Harris County Regional Water Authority (WHCRWA) continues to monitor the impacts of this freeze event and is anticipating a reduction in surface water delivery from the City of Houston.

There is NO boil water notice in effect for Bridgeland residents or businesses.

Please be advised that HCMUD 418 Water Plant #2 is experiencing extremely high demand, which has been an unusual shift in demand in the last 24-48 hours. Inframark and BGE are working together to determine the cause and rectify.

The District has implemented an email and text alert system for the residents of Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 490. This system is designed to keep you informed of issues related to the District in a quick and timely manner.
